Our History

Mark Provine and Steve Lykins opened Mako Oilfield Services in 2017. Their promise and commitment was “to deliver exceptional customer service to our customers.” Today our company is an international commercial and industrial services company with a slightly different name, staffed with over 150 employees, and has a proven reputation for keeping our original promise. Mako Industries responds on a moment’s notice and will mobilize our manpower and the technology required to get the job done right, the first time.

The Mako journey has continued growth and business development over the past several years, expanding our product line and offerings. This expanded expertise allows us to capitalize on new markets focusing on commercial HVAC, electrical and plumbing services combined with comprehensive capabilities for commercial refrigeration, new installations, repairs, portable A/C systems, generators and refrigeration rentals as well as continue to provide our Technical Staffing, Manufacturing and Specialty Fabrication services.

He led the Mako-Global Tech Subsea acquisition, expanding subsea and industrial capabilities, and now drives growth in PBOF cable manufacturing and data centers, focusing on revenue, efficiency, and customer solutions to boost Mako’s energy and industrial presence.
