Our History

Mark Provine and Steve Lykins opened Mako Oilfield Services in 2017. Their promise and commitment was “to deliver exceptional customer service to our customers.” Today our company is an international commercial and industrial services company with a slightly different name, staffed with over 150 employees, and has a proven reputation for keeping our original promise. Mako Industries responds on a moment’s notice and will mobilize our manpower and the technology required to get the job done right, the first time.

The Mako journey has continued growth and business development over the past several years, expanding our product line and offerings. This expanded expertise allows us to capitalize on new markets focusing on commercial HVAC, electrical and plumbing services combined with comprehensive capabilities for commercial refrigeration, new installations, repairs, portable A/C systems, generators and refrigeration rentals as well as continue to provide our Technical Staffing, Manufacturing and Specialty Fabrication services.

President & Co-Founder

Steve Lykins, Co-Founder and President of Mako Industries, has built the company into a leader in industrial, subsea, and commercial services through acquisitions like Cascade Process Controls (CPC) and Dallas and Austin expansions, growing the commercial division’s mechanical and electrical services for data centers, healthcare, and industrial facilities, with a strategic vision for operational excellence, business development, and customer solutions driving high-quality offerings and sustained growth via innovation and partnerships.

Dan Gaspard

Vice President of Operations, Industrial Group

As Vice President of Operations at Mako Industries, Dan oversees operations, sales, and business development, using his oil and gas experience from leadership roles at Cameron, Aker Solutions, Proserv, and TTL in subsea systems, manufacturing, and field services. He led the Mako-Global Tech Subsea acquisition, expanding subsea and industrial capabilities, and now drives growth in PBOF cable manufacturing and data centers, focusing on revenue, efficiency, and customer solutions to boost Mako’s energy and industrial presence.

Robert Whilden

Chief Financial Officer

Robert Whilden serves as the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President at Mako Industries, a role he assumed in 2023. With over 25 years of experience in finance and corporate management, he oversees Mako’s financial strategy, acquisitions, and growth initiatives, leveraging his expertise in financial planning and mergers and acquisitions to drive the company’s expansion in HVAC, MEP, and subsea solutions across energy and commercial sectors.

Bobby Klimple

Vice President of Finance

Bobby Klimple, Vice President of Finance at Mako Industries, directs the company’s financial strategy, budgeting, and accounting operations. In this position, he bolsters Mako’s growth across its Industrial and Commercial divisions, emphasizing financial planning and resource management to support the company’s buy-and-build approach, maintaining fiscal stability as Mako advances its expertise in HVAC, MEP, and subsea solutions.

Vincent Rascon

Vice President of Commercial Operations

Vincent Rascon, Vice President of Commercial Operations at Mako Industries, manages the company’s commercial division, overseeing HVAC, Refrigeration, Electrical, and Plumbing across Texas markets, including Houston, Dallas, and Austin with additional expansion across the country coming soon.
