Benefits of Building a Walk-In Cooler
Our highly trained walk-in cooler builders will ensure your installation is completed to your exact specifications, with benefits that include
Space
When storing perishable items, it is important to ensure you have ample room to accommodate your needs. Walk-in coolers have an advantage over dedicated freezers as they can be custom designed to your specifications while helping to reduce the cost of storing your items across multiple units and loss due to spoilage.
Technology
Some brands of walk-in coolers have built-in Bluetooth technology to alert the business owner of manager if temperatures fall below the desired setting. Interior motion detectors turn lights on and off as needed to reduce electricity usage and temperature monitoring aids with compliance standards set forth by the FDA.
Safety
Control access and prevent users from becoming tapped inside the cooler with safety features that include interior door releases, heavy-duty hingers, and deadbolt door locks.
Power
Walk-in coolers offer more cooling power than their smaller counterparts, utilizing a one-horsepower or greater compressor to keep perishable items at temperatures as low as 10 degrees below zero Fahrenheit.
Durability
Exceptional temperature control comes from industrial grade insulation, stainless steel or galvanized aluminum exteriors, and walls that are on average between 3 and 4 inches thick.
Our Cooler Installation Process
Once the location and size of your new walk-in cooler has been determined, our technicians will order the components for your walk-in cooler and verify their contents upon arrival.
After ensuring that the installation site has been properly prepared, the base channel is installed directly into the floor, or if the walk-in cooler has the floor, the panels are installed and leveled.
Next, the wall panels are assembled according to the plans, and once three sides have been erected, a ceiling panel is placed on top and the structure is checked to ensure it is square. Once the walls and ceiling panel have been completed, it is time for the door.
The door and frame are the most challenging part of the installation. Once completed, the evaporator is installed, and the refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical are put in place along with the shelving.
