Mako’s control panel shop works with many different PLC manufacturers (ALLEN BRADLEY, SIEMENS, ABB) so we have the capability to integrate a complete and seamless system using any type of hardware necessary. Our manager and staff bring their years of training and industry experience into the planning and manufacturing of your standard or custom control panels. In addition to the above, Mako can refurbish your existing control panels at Mako’s or your facility.

Mako is qualified to manufacture UL 508A control panels, although many of the control panels are not UL listed. All the panels must meet the same strict criteria. We are solely committed to providing the highest quality and dependable control panels.

What Mako’s UL 508A Certification Means

  • Building Inspectors are delegated with the authority to determine, mandate, and enforce code requirements. In the National Electric Code (NEC) they are the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). They can Approve or Reject any new equipment installation in their jurisdiction using any reasoning they choose.
  • They often use documented adherence to generally accepted safety standards to determine whether to Approve or Reject a new equipment installation.
  • Building Inspectors generally approve a new equipment installation when the control panel has a UL 508A label because it certifies adherence to a generally accepted safety standard.

Quality and Testing

We take great pride in the Assembly and wiring of all control panel projects. By being UL 508A certified all Mako projects are built under the same standards set by UL. All of our control panels undergo a detailed checkout procedure. To assure that your control panel matches the layout and wiring drawing supply to use, we have a QA checklist that we use to go over each project we manufacture here at MAKO.
